Holy Hour and Benediction

My Dear Friends,

I do hope that everyone is having a truly wonderful, holy and blessed Christmas? I must say that I was deeply moved by how many people came to worship the Christ child and I do hope you enjoyed our services as much as I did?

Mum and I have been deeply touched by your extraordinary generosity towards us. The tree was swamped with gifts and I am still trying to find space for the avalanche of cards.

If I was to consume merely a small proportion of the presents I would be as large as a house and as drunk as a Lord!! Thank you so much and God bless you for your affection, kindness and generosity.

Traditionally this is the time of the year to be making resolutions! They are not always easy to keep, but they have merit if they draw us closer to God and make us better Christians.

And what could be better for us than to resolve to begin the New Year with God? To help us achieve this Mass on Jan. 1st will be at 12 noon, to allow us to have a bit of a lie in ÉÉ should that be necessary!!

After Mass we shall get together in the hall for a brief time of fellowship over a glass of wine, and if you can bear it - a mince pie! Let us be resolved this New Year to draw every closer to Christ.

Finally just a reminder that all money collected at our Crib goes to help the needy children and families of our diocese. After Candlemass, when the crib is removed, all donations go to the Westminster Catholic Children's Society.

God Bless.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES

2008 is the 150th Anniversary of Our Lady's appearing to St Bernadette, and is therefore a highly significant year for the shrine at Lourdes. As usual the diocese will be going on pilgrimage there at the end of July. If you are interested in joining our parish group be sure to take a booking form home with you today.

EVE BROADWAY R.I.P.

The tragic death of Eve Broadway - housekeeper at Our Lady of Fatima, White City, just before Christmas, is a devastating blow to the community there. As Eve was known to a number of us, I am sure many would wish to know the funeral arrangements: Reception into church Wednesday 9th - Mass at 7 pm. Funeral Mass at 9.45 am on Thursday 10th January
