My Dear Friends,
This weekend brings to an end, for this year, the major Catechetical programmes in our parish community. Please do take a moment to pray to Almighty God for the youngsters of our community who have either received their 1st Holy Communion or made their adult declaration of faith through the Sacrament of Confirmation: may they stay close to Jesus throughout their lives and be helped in their faith by our witness and love.
In two weeks time we shall be welcoming Fr Paul Allerton of the Montfort Missionaries to the parish for the annual diocesan appeal. He will be staying in the Presbytery with Fr Edi and I was wondering if anyone could offer them hospitality, as I am away, on either Saturday evening or Sunday lunchtime? If you can, please have a word with Gillian, as soon as possible. Thank you for helping out with this.
The summer edition of Mission Today - the APF newsletter - is available in the porch. Please do take a copy, especially if you are a Red Box holder and see the wonderful work your generosity is supporting.

THE MONDAY CLUB
Would members of the Monday Club please note that there will be NO meeting on Monday June 4th due to unforeseen circumstances. The Club resumes after this break on Monday 11th.
POLISH MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP
This new parish initiative is to be held in our parish hall from Tuesday 12th June from 1.30pm to 3pm
"RED CAPS" CAR-WASHING WEEKEND 23rd/24TH JUNE
Our Red Caps will be washing cars to help raise funds for their trip to Lourdes weekend of 23rd/24th June. More details to follow but please keep this date free to have your car washed and help to support youngsters.
